Universal Yarn Restock

This weekend we restocked Deluxe Worsted, Deluxe Worsted Superwash, Deluxe Worsted Superwash Tweed, Major, Nordic Tapestry, Uptown Worsted and Wool Pop! If you have been waiting for new colors...check out our inventory online!!

Deluxe Worsted We love this yarn for felted projects or cozy hats, mittens or sweaters. Here is a link to some other things people have knit/crochet with this yarn! https://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/universal-yarn-deluxe-worsted/projects

Deluxe Worsted Superwash This is the same great base as the yarn above...just Superwash! This means it won't felt/shrink when you toss it in the washing machine! This is VERY popular for sweaters! Here is a link to some other things people have knit/crochet with this yarn!

Deluxe Worsted Superwash Tweed This is yet another twist on the yarn above it! It's the same great worsted weight superwash wool...but with a little tweed to add a sophisticated touch! Here is a link to some other things people have knit/crochet with this yarn (it's fun to see it in action...but you can knit ANY of the above patterns with this yarn too!!)

Major We love this one for bulky projects that go FAST!!! Here are some projects that have been created with this yarn https://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/universal-yarn-major/projects Last year I used this yarn to make a TON of the Inseparable Cowls (you can find the pattern HERE)

Nordic Tapestry This HUGE ball of yarn has long colorchanges that are great for blankets, sweaters and cowls. BY FAR the most popular pattern to use with this yarn is the Double Up Cowl (Free Pattern HERE) You can find other pattern inspiration at this link (this is a newer yarn...so there aren't as many projects yet!) https://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/universal-yarn-nordic-tapestry/projects

Uptown Worsted This yarn is our best selling acrylic! It's great for hats and gifts that you want to give where you don't have to worry about how it launders...just throw it in the wash and it always bounces back into the shape it was knit into!!! Here is a link to lots of pattern inspiration!! https://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/universal-yarn-uptown-worsted/projects

Wool Pop is the newest in the POP line from Universal and it has already become a staple of the shop! The DK weight yarn has the cozy factor from the soft wool and the drape from the bamboo...AND Nylon to keep both of them in check! We have knit 3 patterns with it and have plans for lots more! The colorways also have a lot of depth because the bamboo and the wool take the dyes differently! If you haven't tried this yarn...check out the pattern inspiration link and plan your next project!! https://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/universal-yarn-wool-pop/projects

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! You can download the pattern for free here (please give it a favorite over on Ravelry so that it gets a little Ravelry love!!!):  Ravelry: Karen Chemo Cap pattern by A Little Knitty Designs You can purchase the yarn we used here:  Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm (alittleknitty.com) Here is the video if you need help with the fan stitch!

Chemo Caps - Part 2

The Gia Chemo Cap doesn't have the same sort of story behind it as the Karen Cap , but it was developed with Chemo patients in mind! Please share this pattern with anyone who would like to knit a hat for someone in need! You can download your pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gia-chemo-cap
