Class Spotlight Stranded Colorwork



Deck the Halls with Handknit Christmas Balls! In this class we will be knitting with two colors (stranded knitting) creating a Christmas motif while shaping a ball. The skills we will cover are stranded knitting, knitting in the round with double pointed needles or one long circular needle for magic loop, increases and decreases, i-cord and reading a colorwork chart for a four-sided item. After completing your first ball, you are ready to knit more balls with other motifs.

Materials Provided: 
Pattern, Stuffing, Red & White Worsted Weight Wool Yarn (enough for 2 Christmas balls).

Materials Needed: 
Five US-7 double pointed needles or one long circular needle for magic loop knitting, 4 stitch markers, long tapestry needle.

Experience Needed: Must be able to knit stockinette stitch.
