And we are back!

Awhile ago I left this sweet little blog behind for bigger pastures.  This year I switched my website, which gave me a lot more freedom in the design, and an amazing back office point of sale system...however the blog component wasn't what I was looking for. I dreamed of a blog that had the functionality of blogger and I kept trying out random things...until a lightbulb came on! GO BACK TO BLOGGER!!!! So here I am...back where the blog started! Hope you enjoy...more frequent blogging is coming at you! Jen

Fall is a comin'

Twice a year I feel this need to get rid of everything hanging around and organize like crazy. This takes place on the last week of the year (that week between Christmas and New Years where you aren't quite sure what to do with yourself) and the week before school starts. Guess what week this is???? The only way I describe this urge is that it's exactly like nesting, except that I can touch my toes since I'm not pregnant! So this next week I plan on going through my closet and getting rid of so much of it and taking most of my garage and donating it to charity! I feel the need to get things in order and KNIT, KNIT, KNIT!!!! Along with a pumpkin spice latte and super cheesy Hallmark movie. I'm so predictable....it's not even funny! I hope you are enjoying these last bits of summer! Jen

A History Lesson

Since we opened in 2016 I have heard a few stories about businesses that have called 218 E. Main Street home. I decided to poke around on the internet and discover what the truth was! At first the search was slow going. Of course I found recent history of A Little Knitty, Liberty Jane and Love Travel...but I knew these already! Finally I remembered that the White River Valley Museum had online archives of pictures...so I headed over there to see what I could find. This is the first photo I stumbled across, which is a photo that was taken in front of where the lighting store currently resides, and looks down main street towards the shop. This was the closest I could find when searching our address. Next, I remembered a story that someone told me this was once a Ford dealership...and THAT is when I found it...the photo that showed the front of the building that was NO DOUBT our shop! And the museum noted that this lighter colored building was what we now know as 222 E. Main Street. Th
