Major Yarn

A couple years ago I stumbled upon the pattern Inseparable by Tamy Gore on Ravelry and it was totally my style. A little over-sized and it consisted of garter stitch, eyelets and twisted rib (be still my heart!)

I decided to knit it up using Major by Universal Yarns. This is a 100% acrylic, bulky yarn that is marled and has really cool colorchanges. The color variation in this green color was exactly what I was looking for. Since I knew the acrylic wouldn't block (and because I'm a tight knitter) I automatically went up a needle size, which means I knit this bad boy on size 15 needles.

Size US15 needles and bulky yarn is FAST!!!!

This year I promised myself I wouldn't put all my Christmas gifts off til the last minute...but here I am on the weekend of December 5th, knitting my fingers off and pumping out 5 of these bad boys!! I guess it could be worse...it could be December 23rd! ;)

If you are looking for a simple and fast knit, look no further!! I omitted the two bobble rows (I'm not such a bobble fan) and I was able to get 2 cowls out of 1 ball of yarn!

If you would like to look at the colors we have available, you can find them in our online store! We will be receiving more inventory next week as well!

This pattern includes 3 patterns total. I did the first one.

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! You can download the pattern for free here (please give it a favorite over on Ravelry so that it gets a little Ravelry love!!!):  Ravelry: Karen Chemo Cap pattern by A Little Knitty Designs You can purchase the yarn we used here:  Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm (alittleknitty.com) Here is the video if you need help with the fan stitch!

Chemo Caps - Part 2

The Gia Chemo Cap doesn't have the same sort of story behind it as the Karen Cap , but it was developed with Chemo patients in mind! Please share this pattern with anyone who would like to knit a hat for someone in need! You can download your pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gia-chemo-cap
