Sock Madness 2023

The countdown is ON!!!!!!! Sock Madness 2023 goes on sale at 9am PST this Wednesday, November 2nd.

If you are curious about what this journey is all about, please watch the video below!!

We have THREE OPTIONS (at first I only had 2 options, but it turned into 3 options when all was said and done)

Option #1 - SOCK MADNESS 2023 IN PERSON. This is the full meal deal with everything listed below, but only 12 spots available. The in person meetings are structured as a social stitching time for those enrolled in Sock Madness 2023 where you can come together with other people knitting the same thing, discuss any bumps in the road, celebrate victories and at the end of the year you will have TWELVE pairs of socks!!!

Of course I will be here for any questions you may have, but this isn't a structured class with a lecture portion. After the kick-off party, every meeting will be chatting about the sock we made that month, answer any questions that came up, and read through the pattern for the next month and cast it on! Come to one session or come to them all...there are no make-ups available. Every possible holiday has been taken into account when scheduling these meetings, but we are bound to schedule on your anniversary, your cat's birthday or some other important event! If you know you can't make it to an in-person meeting you can get the code for the virtual meeting for that month, we just need a little bit of notice!

Option #3 - Check out the SOCK MADNESS 2023 Bundle on Ravelry. This is live now, anyone can view the patterns we will be using this year, but does not include any of the things listed in the options above (they aren't listed by month, it's just the patterns in no particular order) and there is no link to virtual meetings or hang outs. They are all free patterns (except my personal pattern that I have listed for $4, but if you purchase yarn in the store, you will get a free download code, just ask at checkout!). I know we all have different budgets, so this is a very low cost option for those who want to try out new sock patterns.

Fine Print: All of these sock patterns have been knit (sometimes multiple times) but there is always a chance that there is errata or parts that can be interpreted multiple ways. We did not tech edit any of the free patterns we encountered. If you run into any problems with any patterns, please let us know and we can let the pattern writers know. Keep in mind these have been distributed for free and the pattern writers have put a ton of time and energy into them.

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! You can download the pattern for free here (please give it a favorite over on Ravelry so that it gets a little Ravelry love!!!):  Ravelry: Karen Chemo Cap pattern by A Little Knitty Designs You can purchase the yarn we used here:  Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm (alittleknitty.com) Here is the video if you need help with the fan stitch!

Chemo Caps - Part 2

The Gia Chemo Cap doesn't have the same sort of story behind it as the Karen Cap , but it was developed with Chemo patients in mind! Please share this pattern with anyone who would like to knit a hat for someone in need! You can download your pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gia-chemo-cap
