Stitch for Charity

Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I have mentioned it before, but we have a basket in the shop that is full of random yarns and scarves that have been started...we just need you to add your flare to the scarves!

Yesterday, we had a couple sweet ladies stop into the shop and the basket caught the eye of one. She asked what it meant and was excited to try a few rows, and she convinced her friend to pick up the crochet scarf. They both said it had been forever since they knit or crochet, but very quickly (and with very little instruction from me) they were busy at work. It was so nice to visit with them...the best conversations are had when people craft together.

It's so heartwarming to see someone take a little bit of their day to do something kind for others.

If you would like to stop in and knit or crochet a few rows, we would love your help! When each scarf is finished it will be distributed to someone in need.

We hope to create lots of scarves this fall in the shop and at our booth at the Tacoma Holiday Food & Gift Show and Victorian Country Christmas

Shop Hours

Thursday, July 7, 2016

Hi All!
I have decided to tweak the hours a bit, as I have gotten to know customers and their needs, I have discovered Fridays in the summer are just not needed. So....Im going to continue with the Tuesday and Thursday schedule because they have been very successful, and in the fall we will add back in Friday (until 5pm, possibly later) and Saturday depending on demand.

Saturdays I'm thinking of offering mini classes where you come in and make a project all in one session! And offering parties too...more to come on that later!

I am enjoying, beyond measure, being your Local Yarn Shop and thank you for checking us out as we grow and meet YOUR needs!

See ya in the shop & Happy Stitchin'

I have mentioned it a lot, but I really love being part of the revitalization of Downtown Auburn. I have always enjoyed visiting cute towns with great food, fun and shopping....so it's honestly exciting to watch downtown bloom before my very eyes! Check out these two amazing new restaurants that opened this week. I cannot wait to try them. Gor Gai Thai Street Food https://www.facebook.com/gorgaithai/?pnref=story and Famboozel's Restaurant https://www.facebook.com/famboozels/?pnref=story both are within walking distance of my shop...so I'm sure I'll be there lots! :)

Never miss a thing...go here and sign up to receive weekly shop updates directly to your email box. You can unsubscribe at any point if you can't stand me (I'll understand!)

We have so many fun things up our sleeves this fall...but speaking of sleeves...
