What's to come in 2016?

It's 2016!!!

I'm very excited to chat about all the fun new things that are coming this year...and there are quite a few things to report!!

The 'Learn to Knit' Kits were such an amazing success in 2015, that we already sold out of the first batch of kits! I'm always sourcing the best place for yarn...and I think I've found one that will work even better for the kits AND allow you to have a little choice in what color dish cloths you will make.

You will now be able to select from the 5 colors above...lots of variety for cute dishcloths! The cotton is great quality and I'm really happy with the way they are knitting up. Since I have a new supplier for the cotton, the kits are now coming with a bit more yarn than before...so I will also be sharing a link for a cute dishcloth with a heart in the middle. That pattern hasn't been released quite yet...but will be available for FREE to anyone and everyone!

So here are some photos of the new kits...

And starting very shortly...you will be able to add a fantastic project bag to any kit you purchase! Project bags are the perfect way to keep your project all together and ready to take with you if you want to knit on the run (and of COURSE you do!) You will be able to purchase them without a kit too...but a discount will be given when you purchase them with a kit!

In the pattern department...these knitting patterns will soon be released for sale on Etsy, Craftsy & Ravelry.

Another super exciting announcement is still in the works...but involves teaming up with the insanely talented crew at

If you haven't heard of them, check them out!!! If you have a girl in your life who likes dolls, you will find the Internet's LARGEST Doll Clothes Pattern Marketplace, with over a million patterns downloaded! And they are great about sharing free patterns too! So go follow them on Social Media!

AND this year...you will be able to find 'A Little Knitty' patterns created JUST for dolls!!! This is a really exciting venture for me and I'm looking forward to designing some fabulous stuff as well as working in their adorable Liberty Jane Clothing studio here in Auburn, Washington...teaching knitting classes and developing a new "Learn to Knit" kit that will be exclusive to Pixie Faire!

Like I said....so much amazing stuff going on this year!

Please put your email address in over on the left so that you can be notified when all these cool things go live!

Thanks for making 2015 a smashing success and I look forward to all the adventures 2016 will bring!

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! You can download the pattern for free here (please give it a favorite over on Ravelry so that it gets a little Ravelry love!!!):  Ravelry: Karen Chemo Cap pattern by A Little Knitty Designs You can purchase the yarn we used here:  Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm (alittleknitty.com) Here is the video if you need help with the fan stitch!

Chemo Caps - Part 2

The Gia Chemo Cap doesn't have the same sort of story behind it as the Karen Cap , but it was developed with Chemo patients in mind! Please share this pattern with anyone who would like to knit a hat for someone in need! You can download your pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gia-chemo-cap
