Kumihimo Bracelet - $40 - 4 Hours – Instructor: Sandy Buzzelli
Saturday, January 12th 10am to 2pm
As knitters and crocheters, we all have leftover bits of yarn in our stashes.  Kumihimo, a Japanese form of braiding, can be a perfect way to use up some of those leftovers.  In this class, we'll make a bracelet as we learn the kongoh gumi, an 8-strand round braid.  We'll also explore ways to incorporate these round braids into our knit and crochet projects. A kumihimo bracelet kit is available for purchase at A Little Knitty for $15-- it contains disc, bobbins, yarn and magnetic clasp….all the supplies needed to make the kumihimo bracelet class project. This is the perfect craft to get together with friends or have a Mother-Daughter/Mother-Son “Date”!
Knitting 101 - $45 - 3 Hours - Instructor: Jen Reeves
Saturday, January 12th 3pm to 6pm
In Knitting 101 we will learn the basics. After the class, you will be sent home with our full "Learn to Knit Kit" that includes hours of instructional videos. Please note that this class is taught using the English Method of knitting (yarn is held in the right hand). No experience needed. This class includes the yarn, needles, patterns and videos…all you bring are your hands!

Two-at-a-Time Toe-Up Socks – This is a Two Part Class - $45 – 5 Hours – Instructor: Sandy Buzzelli
Saturday, January 19th 10am to 12:30pm AND Saturday, February 2nd 10am to 12:30pm
Please note, this is a two part class!
If you’re a sock knitter, you might have suffered from one-sock-itis (aka one-sock syndrome), that dreaded lack of desire to start, much less finish, the second sock of a pair.
Despair not, because we have the cure – knit both socks at the very same time!  You’re guaranteed to have two socks by the time you’re done, and both socks will be exactly the same – no more trying to remember what you did on the first sock.  We’ll be knitting our pair of socks from the toe to the cuff – making it easy to get a good fit, and we won’t have to worry about running out of yarn on the second sock.
Whether you knit your socks using the Magic Loop or two circular needles, you can learn to knit two socks at the same time.
Prerequisite:  you should know how to knit one sock at a time, cuff down or toe up.
Materials: 100g worsted weight wool split into 2 balls and US5-47” circular knitting needles (US6 if you are a tight knitter, US4 if you are a loose knitter)

Magic Knot Ball Workshop – 3 Hours – Instructor: Jen Reeves
Saturday, January 19th 2pm to 5pm
In this workshop you will learn how to create a yarn ball and make one of your very own! Then we will start the project of your choice....you can pick from crochet or knit! You will need 1-20grams of multiple balls of fingering weight yarn and the needle/hook indicated on the pattern of your choice.

Toph Hat $45 - 6 Hours – Instructor: Jen Reeves
Saturday, January 26th 10am to 1pm AND Saturday, February 9th 10am to 1pm
The Toph Hat pattern has been such a hit in the shop, we wanted to turn it into a class! In this class will learn how to provisionally cast on, German Short Rows and the kitchener stitch. There will be quite a bit of knitting that will need to be completed between the classes, however no homework before the first class. We will be stocking many great kits for this hat, but you can use any DK weight yarn you might have in your stash. You will need US3 or 4 (3 for a smaller hat, 4 for the larger hat, or whatever size you need to obtain gauge) you will also need a 3.25mm crochet hook for the cast on, if you don’t have one no problem, we will have a loaner hook! No crochet experience is needed for this class (it’s just a chain we will be making for the cast on) but you should be comfortable knitting, purling, casting on and binding off. Class includes pattern, which will be printed out for you and sent to your ravelry account (if you have one).  Please note this is a two-part class.

Ravelry Q&A Session - $20 – 2 Hours – Instructor: Jen Reeves
Friday, February 15th 6pm to 8pm
Join us for an evening of learning about Ravelry. We will discuss Ravelry when used on a PC, but will also go over using it on a device like an ipad or phone. Topics of discussion will include favoriting, saving in your Library, adding your own projects, inventorying your yarn and needles and more! Please bring paper and pen to take notes and the device of your choice (laptops are great!).

During this class we will knit an infant hat, but you will be sent home with instructions on how to create hats for any size heads!

Advanced Brioche Cowl - $40 – 4 Hours – Instructor: Sandy Buzzelli
Saturday, February 23rd 10am to 2pm

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! You can download the pattern for free here (please give it a favorite over on Ravelry so that it gets a little Ravelry love!!!):  Ravelry: Karen Chemo Cap pattern by A Little Knitty Designs You can purchase the yarn we used here:  Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm (alittleknitty.com) Here is the video if you need help with the fan stitch!

Chemo Caps - Part 2

The Gia Chemo Cap doesn't have the same sort of story behind it as the Karen Cap , but it was developed with Chemo patients in mind! Please share this pattern with anyone who would like to knit a hat for someone in need! You can download your pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gia-chemo-cap
