Hats for our community

We are so thrilled to announce that we will be collecting hats (handmade or from the store) and donating them to the Federal Way Multi-Service Center!  This time of year it can get chilly and we want to help warm the heads of those in need in our community.  Need a pattern? Things I'm taking home with me...

Teresa. Can't forget her!!! We had so much fun and I'm so glad she could come with me! Memories. SO. MANY. MEMORIES!!!!  Education. I learned so much about Ashford and what an incredible company they have built. I'm so proud that we are an Ashford dealer! Sparkly fiber in my belly button. Not even a joke. I carded some fiber with sparkles in it and I'm still finding it EVERYWHERE! The need need for tea time every day. We had tea time twice a day while at Ashford. I need my tea and biscuit please! (and a "biscuit" was really a cookie!!!!) The use of the word wee. New Zealanders like to say "wee" a lot. A wee bit of tea, or a wee little yarn...I love it! A small piece of a pretty scarf. One day we hand felted scarves and it was really fun! We will for sure be adding this to the summer class schedule!! A wonky little weaving. New Zealand - Day 7

It's our last day in New Zealand!!! Today we rode the trolley around downtown Christchurch, learned more about the area and of course knit a bit while we rode on really beautiful old trolleys! Of course the kiwi came along for the ride! The mural art in this city is just amazing! The street performers are just incredible!! This gal had PIPES!!! I really, really, really LOVED this market. It seriously had EVERY type of food represented and it was just beautiful! I was determined to find the Butcher's Pie Shop and it totally delivered! This was a chicken, cranberry and brie pie and it was fantastic!!! Watch out, here comes Teresa!! This alley was just so quaint! So full of food and people out enjoying the day. The trolley went right through here! All three of us got the BAAAAD to the bone shirts.... ...then got our ears pierced (Natasha got her nose pierced!) Places you can knit...a tattoo/piercing shop!! New Zealand -Day 6

Today was all about being a tourist....we drove up to the tram and saw the most amazing views (and sheep!!!) We then HAD to go to a yarn shop And we were up to lots of shenanigans in kmart...it's so different from the US Kmart!
