4th Annual Giving Wreaths

We are collecting once again for Seniors in our community. Four years ago the Downtown Auburn Cooperative was throwing around ideas of how we could give back during the Holidays. Of course we thought of kids and families in need, but then someone suggested seniors in our community. Sometimes the elderly don't get gifts from families and we wanted to make sure they felt special! So we teamed up with the Auburn Senior Center (who delivers meals to seniors via Meals on Wheels). We collect all the things and the Auburn Senior Center delivers them!! A Little Knitty is a collection site, as well as many other businesses Downtown Auburn!!! It's easy to get involved.... Step #1: Select an item (or two) from the list below Step #2: Bring your new, unwrapped item to one of the locations (we highly recommend A Little Knitty) between November 5th and December 3rd, 2022 ITEMS - Blanket  - Hat  - Scarf  - Socks  - Slippers  - Lotion  - Soap  - Puzzle  - Activit...

A knit or crocheted “Cup Cozy” fits that bill. It is a great little project that you can easily finish in a day and doesn’t need a lot of expertise or yarn for the finished project. You can even pick up an inexpensive mug to complete the gift for that special someone who loves lattes. What is a “Cup Cozy” you ask? Simple to complex, there are a variety of patterns and themes for cozies. The one I show here is called, " Cabled Cup Cozy” a pattern by Natalya1905 on Ravelry and rated “Easy+”…you gotta like that! I chose a soft worsted-weight yarn and found this sweet button to finish it off (we have buttons just like it in the shop!). If you...
