Virtual Retreat is almost here!!!

We are putting the final touches on our Virtual Retreat March 4-7th!! During this Virtual Retreat we will knit the Kay Scarf (you can check it out here on Ravelry: Kay pattern by Sandi Rosner)

What is a virtual retreat?

We'll be doing this through a private Facebook Group, so what happens there stays there! Join us in your PJ's...or whatever (we won't tell!)

Both ALK and BFQ will be hosting break out sessions for classes in our respective mediums. Each of us will be offering a "feature" pattern (included in the goodie bags!) and classes related to it. You are welcome to join the classes even if you didn't grab the goodie bag before the retreat. We'll create a "room" within the group so that only those wanting to attend the class session will be "in" the live video chat, while everyone else can still interact on the main group page.

People who have special interests are welcome to create mini rooms to chat as well!
We'll have a happy hour room for those wanting to share a pretty beverage!

Goodie bags are NOT a required purchase to participate in our retreat. They are $60 each in addition to the price of the retreat.

Contests, drawings, prizes all weekend!

If you want to register for the retreat, it is $60 and you can register here: Spring Fling Virtual Retreat (alittleknitty.com)

If you are attending the retreat and would like to add a goodie bag, you can do so here: Virtual Stitch Retreat Goodie Bag for Knitters (alittleknitty.com)

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! You can download the pattern for free here (please give it a favorite over on Ravelry so that it gets a little Ravelry love!!!):  Ravelry: Karen Chemo Cap pattern by A Little Knitty Designs You can purchase the yarn we used here:  Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm (alittleknitty.com) Here is the video if you need help with the fan stitch!

Chemo Caps - Part 2

The Gia Chemo Cap doesn't have the same sort of story behind it as the Karen Cap , but it was developed with Chemo patients in mind! Please share this pattern with anyone who would like to knit a hat for someone in need! You can download your pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gia-chemo-cap
