In Case of Yarn Emergency....

As our Summer Vacation approaches and the reality of A Little Knitty being closed for a week draws closer...the number one question we are receiving is "What do I do if I have a knitting or crochet emergency???"

We have a plan for that!!!!

Step #1. Before June 27th, stop by A Little Knitty and purchase your "In Case of Emergency" Kit

Step #2. Carry on as usual while we are closed June 27th to July 4th

Step #3. If something goes wrong with the project you are currently working on....rip open your "In Case of Emergency" Kit and work on that project until July 5th.

Step #4. Come in on July 5th, tell us how much you missed us and it was hard living 7 days without us, and buy yourself some yarn to celebrate making it through!

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! Copilot Remix

Years ago I found the Copilot Cowl by Dominique Trad on Ravelry and it had two of my ABSOLUTE favorite things...garter stitch and yarn overs! I cast one on for a trip I was taking and knit it while I was traveling. It was the perfect project to keep my attention, but I didn't need to take the pattern out constantly. After knitting one, I noticed that the length of it was just too long for my liking, I wanted it to be a simple, single-wrap cowl. I reworked it a little bit and it is my go-to when I have a skein of fingering weight yarn (especially if it is a singly-ply!!)
