New Vendor - Sheep Creek Studio

We are so thrilled to now carry felting kits from Sheep Creek Studio

Let's first introduce you to Sheep Creek Studio....

Hello!

We’re Andrea and Aaron, the brains and brawn behind Sheep Creek Studio.

Sheep Creek Studio was born years ago out of Andrea’s discovered interest in the art of needle and wet felting and her lifelong love for nature, animals, and art.

This journey began in Portland, Oregon with a handful of gifts given to friends and family in thanks for helping with our wedding. Over the years, Andrea grew this fledgling hobby into a small business of custom, one-of-a-kind nursery decor and felted sculptures ranging from animal figurines to wall mounts and baby mobiles.

In addition to being the creative, driving force behind Sheep Creek Studio, Andrea’s speciality lies working back and forth with each of her clients (sharing photos of their pets, links to specific colors and decor items, and inspiration boards) to design something truly unique that fulfills their specific desires.

After 11 years of marriage and the birth of our two awesome kids, we made an enormous lifestyle, career, and location change moving from NE Portland to a rolling piece of farmland on the border of Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. The last couple years have been a time to slow down, add some pets, stretch out a bit, re-evaluate, and map-out our plans & hopes for our family and this business.

In late 2022, we decided to go “all-in” and team up together to see what happens. We’ve got some awesome ideas up our sleeves and are diligently working to bring them to “market”. We’re fascinated by the Sheep Creek Studio story so far and extremely excited to see where this all takes us and our family!

Now...on to the cool kits they make! So far we only have the mini butterfly felting craft kits...but there will be more options in the future!!

You can find these kits in-store or online

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! You can download the pattern for free here (please give it a favorite over on Ravelry so that it gets a little Ravelry love!!!):  Ravelry: Karen Chemo Cap pattern by A Little Knitty Designs You can purchase the yarn we used here:  Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm (alittleknitty.com) Here is the video if you need help with the fan stitch!

Chemo Caps - Part 2

The Gia Chemo Cap doesn't have the same sort of story behind it as the Karen Cap , but it was developed with Chemo patients in mind! Please share this pattern with anyone who would like to knit a hat for someone in need! You can download your pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gia-chemo-cap

This eliminates the purl stitches looking a little funky (if you know, you know).  We decreased by 25% of the stitches about halfway through the cowl to allow the top of the cowl to be a little closer to the neck and the bottom spread over your shoulders if you want to wear it that way! We gave you little check boxes to check off as you complete repeats. **PATTERN** Using Main Color, CO92, place stitch marker and join in the round Round 1: (K2, P2) Repeat parentheses all the way around Repeat Round 1 six more times       ⃞          ⃞...
