more felting kits have landed

Sure, penguins might not fly...but these just landed from the UK!  You can find the baby penquin , bee & more in-store or online

Cute Hexi Knit Stitch Marker Set

These cute stitch markers are simple yet effective. I like that they don't hug tight to my round needles, so I can easily flick them from the left needle to the right when I need to move them! Grab these stitch marker sets in-shop or online HERE

Baskets!!!

Baskets have arrived all the way from Africa (via Canada). These baskets are better traveled than I am! Because of their travels, some baskets arrive a little wonky...but no worries! They come with instructions on how to get them damp and reshape...which is a perfect activity this time of year with our warm weather! You can find these baskets in-store only, as they are kinda spendy to ship (and let's be honest...they have been traveling enough!)

New crochet shawl and new mannequin/team member!

It might look like I purchased another mannequin, but that new gal is our newest team member, RACHEL!!!! Rachel is our new Wednesday and sometimes Sunday gal that you will see in the shop. She is an expert crocheter that I have a feeling we will bring to the dark side (a.k.a. turn her into a knitter).  She crochet up this new shop sample and this thing is cozy and just screaming to wrap you up in a hug on chilly fall evenings!! You can find the pattern HERE . For our shop sample, Rachel used 3 skeins of Stardust Fiber Studio DK weight yarn. Near the end she did run out of the white speckle...so she just used other colors until the end. I love a project where you can pivot when you run out and turns out epic!!!!

Rainier Roses Trunk Show

We are SO thrilled to have Maribel back in the shop! Maribel worked at A Little Knitty until 2020. That same year she began dying yarn and SHE ROCKS!!!! Come check out all the cool things she has been dying!

Fall 2021 Mystery Kits are now available for PRESALE

The time has come to start presales for the Fall Mystery Boxes!!!! I had planned for these to originally ship on August 1st for "Fall" but with the current weather I just couldn't handle shipping fall boxes in August! hahahah  So we are starting presales NOW and they will ship September 1st. That feels like a more reasonable kick off to fall!! :) We ask that you place pre-orders online, but you can select to pick up in shop on September 1st OR it will ship out on September 1st! It's MUCH easier to manage the orders if they can be placed online, due to how the system works. If you would like to purchase in-store, we will still process it online so that the order is trackable. You can pre-order you box HERE the price is $44 before September 1st and $49 after September 1st!

Shipping Costs

It feels like EVERYTHING has gone up this year, and I have been watching yarn prices AND shipping prices slowly climb! I have decided to make the minimum for free shipping $75 and anything under $75 will be $5 shipping. The $5 doesn't cover the whole cost...but at least we kinda split the difference! I hate making the costs go up...but have to on this one!

McreativeJ

If you missed the trunk show with McreativeJ this weekend....don't worry...we kept some kits and there is still room in her workshops in August & September . You can register online or in-store! Embroidery is SO popular right now...especially on jeans & hats. Check out this inspiration! And I'm seeing more and more embroidery on knit wear too!!

Heather Ellis Trunk Show

July 31st we will host Heather Ellis in the shop for a trunk show! Here are a few peeks at what has been coming out of her dye pots!!

Copilot Remix

Years ago I found the Copilot Cowl by Dominique Trad on Ravelry  and it had two of my ABSOLUTE favorite things...garter stitch and yarn overs! I cast one on for a trip I was taking and knit it while I was traveling. It was the perfect project to keep my attention, but I didn't need to take the pattern out constantly. After knitting one, I noticed that the length of it was just too long for my liking, I wanted it to be a simple, single-wrap cowl. I reworked it a little bit and it is my go-to when I have a skein of fingering weight yarn (especially if it is a singly-ply!!) Copilot Remix Materials:     1 skein 100g/440 fingering weight yarn (if your skein is a little more or a little less, no problem, I put in weights so you can use up all your yarn and not play yarn chicken!)                      US6/4mm 24" circular knitting needles                      Stitch...

Malabrigo Restock

We received a small restock of Malabrigo today! I'm finding there is more inventory available every time I look, so if you are needing a particular color...let me know and I can check to see if it is available! I hear the new colorways of sock & mechita should be shipping soon...which is very exciting! Archangel, Ravelry Red, Niebla & Nimbus Gray are all back in stock and available in-store or online HERE Cereza ( this is the color I used for my newest sweater ), Sunset & Greenish Blue have all been restocked in Arroyo too! You can find them in-store or online HERE

Zen Yarn Garden Restock

We just received a restock of Zen Yarn Garden fingering weight yarn! I love this fingering weight yarn because it's a little more plump than usual fingering weight yarns...which makes for a more firm sock! Two of the colorways we received were the ever so popular Kyanite & Terracotta ...which I used for the Travelers Shawl  (shown behind the skeins of yarn in my hand). You can find these skeins in-store or online HERE

Naturally A Little Knitty Yak Restock

I really love the color of this undyed yak yarn...or if you are feeling experimental, grab some undyed yarn and try your hand at dying!!!  I have used this fingering weight yarn to knit the Madame Entrechat Fingering   and I used it as the base color for my On The Spice Market The yarn has been restocked in-store and online HERE

Stardust Fiber Studio Trunk Show

Join us on Saturday, August 14th 10am to 5pm and Sunday, August 15th Noon to 3pm as we host a trunk show by  Stardust Fiber Studio . They were so much fun last time we had a trunk show, that we had to host them again! Their special order yarn (pick your color + pick your base) was a HUGE hit and we are so excited for them to bring it again!!

Baby Jacquard

Baby Jacquard is a new yarn in the shop and Hilde knit up this adorable sample with the yarn! You can find the yarn HERE You can find the FREE pattern HERE Right now we only have 1 color (I wanted to order a bag and see how we liked the yarn) but we will be ordering more colors soon! If there is a special one you would like us to bring in, let us know! You can see all the colors HERE

Class Spotlight - CC Beanie

The CC Beanie has been a super popular pattern in the shop (careful, they are a little addictive and they make GREAT holiday gifts!!!!) and a couple years ago we turned it into a class. During one of the classes someone asked what it would look like if the knit 1, purl 1 ribbing area was done in brioche...so we had to find out!  The class now has the option to do brioche or skip it!  You can find out more about the class and register  HERE

Karen's Kreations - Mother Load Bags

Karen has restocked bags and BOY did she deliver!!!!! And that's only 3 of the 10 she brought!!! You can see photos of all of the bags at the link below! This bag was named the MOTHER LOAD bag for a reason...she is HUGE!!! This is a great project bag for sweaters, multiple projects or traveling. Each bag has 7 smaller pockets (for all your random notions, or snacks) and one large pocket for pattern storage. Contrasting handle makes the bag easy to carry, but folds down to be a "bucket" while you are knitting. Closes at the top with a magnetic snap, has hidden D ring inside for clipping stitch markers and is beautifully created by local maker, Karen! Dimensions at bottom are 12" by 7" Bag measures approximately 15" tall. You can get these bags in-store and online HERE

Rainier Roses Restock & New Colors

We sold out SO FAST last time the mini skein sets were in...that we doubled the order and added some new colorways!!! We restocked Purple Skies (which we knit into the pretty hat below), neon summer (which Susan knit into the gorgeous shawl below) and Kay Rose Here is some pattern inspiration for these sets... Pattern:  https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/faded-beanie Pattern:  https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/wild-at-heart-stripe We added these beauties... You can find ALLLLLL of these sets in-store or online HERE

Karen's Kreations - Zip Top Bags

Karen is a super hero teacher during the school year...but in her off time she is an AMAZING sewist!! We were very lucky to get 10 of her zip top bags delivered!!! The zip top bag is a classic. Bag can be folded down while you craft so the yarn isn't tangled in the zipper (although it's super tiny teeth and I've never had a problem with this), includes 3 inside pockets, D ring for hooking stitch markers and faux leather loop for hanging on your wrist! Dimensions at bottom are 8" by 5" Bag measures approximately 13" tall. You can pick up these bags in-store or online HERE

We have restocked the amazing K-N-I-T-H-O-W book that is perfect for any newer knitter. The book is beautifully written and has cute patterns that are attainable for a newer knitter.  And we received a few copies of Embody which is a book of knit and sewing patterns for people of all sizes. I'm very excited to carry this one!! Get your books in-store or online: https://www.alittleknitty.com/shop/c/p/Pompom-Quarterly-x42531164.htm
