Uplifting Words

Our newest Private Label yarn arrived during the Fall Yarn Crawl. The colorway names are one word each and they were taken from quotes I found inspiring and uplifting. Here are the colorways and their names...

Accomplish

You can have anything you want if you want it badly enough. You can be anything you want to be, do anything you set out to accomplish if you hold to that desire with singleness of purpose.  - Abraham Lincoln

Ambition

Ambition is enthusiasm with a purpose.  - Frank Tyger

Believe

Be brave to stand for what you believe in even if you stand alone.  -Roy T. Bennett

Confidence

Without self-confidence, we are as babes in the cradle -Virginia Woolf

Courage

Forgot to get a pic before it sold out!

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear - Mark Twain

Goals

If you set goals and go after them with all the determination you can muster, your gifts will take you places that will amaze you. -Les Brown

Gratitude

Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.  -Henri Frederic Amiel

Inspiration

Inspiration comes from within yourself. One has to be positive. When you're positive, good things happen. - Deep Roy

Kindness

There's no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end. -Scott Adams

Mindfulness

With mindfulness, you can establish yourself in the present in order to touch the wonders of life that are available in that moment. -Nhat Hanh

Nurture

Nurture your mind with great thoughts. To believe in the heroic makes heros. -Benjamin Disraeli

Passion

Forgot to get a photo before this one sold out!

Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don't let anyone limit your dreams. -Donovan Bailey

Perserverance

Perserverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th -Julie Andrews

Karen Chemo Cap 5th Anniversary Makeover

I had someone ask me about the Karen Chemo Cap Fan Stitch and I decided the video and pattern were both in need of a make-over! Especially when I noticed this year is the 5th anniversary of publishing this pattern. When my mom had chemo I made her a few different hats because honestly it felt like the only thing I could do. I designed this one just for her, and was super excited when it was her favorite! After she passed I wasn't sure I wanted to release the design, but with a little time...it felt like the right thing to do! You can download the pattern for free here (please give it a favorite over on Ravelry so that it gets a little Ravelry love!!!):  Ravelry: Karen Chemo Cap pattern by A Little Knitty Designs You can purchase the yarn we used here:  Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm (alittleknitty.com) Here is the video if you need help with the fan stitch!

Chemo Caps - Part 2

The Gia Chemo Cap doesn't have the same sort of story behind it as the Karen Cap , but it was developed with Chemo patients in mind! Please share this pattern with anyone who would like to knit a hat for someone in need! You can download your pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gia-chemo-cap
