Dreams Do Come True!

All my life I've been an entrepreneur. I remember the multiple lemonade stands at the end of my driveway with my bestie in 1st grade (we saved our proceeds to purchase a mug for our teacher). In 6th grade I made yellow ribbons to support those fighting in the Persian Gulf War. Just after graduating from high school, I created a pet/house sitter business. I loved creating, growing and having my little businesses...I never made all that much, but I had fun doing it! I have loved building A Little Knitty from nothing...it's my 3rd child. My passion was found in owning my own business and sharing my love of knitting. For years it has been my dream to create a yarn shop that is a creative, inspiring, educational and fun space. Sometimes I hit road blocks, other times it just wasn't the right time... but now... it's the right time! Last fall I read the front page of the local newspaper. In all honesty, I don't do this often...but for some reason I checked it out...

Freebie Friday - Color Me Mod Dishcloth

I know I talk about dishcloths more than any person should...especially since I'm fairly certain I'm allergic to washing dishes. But dishcloths make great small projects and they are a great way to try out new techniques without committing to a huge project. This free pattern caught my eye awhile ago and I put it in my library on ravelry . I mentioned it to one of my students and she had a lot of fun with it. So last night I gave it a try and it's a great pattern! It's fun an quick but not too challenging if you haven't tackled color work before! I encourage you to grab some cotton yarn ( craftsy has some great ones! And yes, that is an affiliate link...a get a small percentage when you shop at my favorite online yarn shop!) and cast on this great project! You can download it for free here Here is my version...and it's cat approved! Jen
