I don't think I have EVER been this excited for a product to show up!!!!!!! I ordered this many months ago and have been patiently waiting for them to arrive!!!! What are they??? THEY ARE SMALL CIRCUMFERENCE INTERCHANGABLE KNITTING NEEDLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES I SCREAMED THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A Little Knitty has brought in a few new yarns into the shop recently that I am so excited to tell you about! Juniper Moon’s Rambouillet yarn is so squishably soft. It’s $25 per 100g skein and is a DK weight Rambouillet, which is a type of Merino wool. It is next-to-the-skin soft, very lofty, and very warm.  Jen made a stunning cable hat ( Ponderosa Hat ) with it, and I decided to try it in a stranded colorwork hat.  I made Love Autumn Hat by Monika Anna , $5.75 on Ravelry. It came out beautifully and I love how soft it feels on my head. But I must admit, Jen’s cable hat is even better for this yarn. There’s just something about a squishy cable hat that just makes you want to wear it all day! I feel like this yarn is meant for cables! What's On My Needles? Sometimes it's nice to share what is currently on my needles, so I'm going to share them in this article. Hopefully it will give you a bit of inspiration for your next project. I am super close to finishing The Wharf Street Vest by Elizabeth Smith Knits. This is a sporty vest to throw on over a t-shirt or blouse with jeans and will feel so good with the Fall weather. The pattern suggests Cumulus by Juniper Moon Farm. I chose the smokey blue called, Oxford. Cumulus is so soft and the box stitch pattern makes a nice textured pattern. Interestingly, the pattern is named after the famous cobblestoned "Wharf Street" in Portland, Maine. Hopefully you will see me wearing this in the shop soon.  I'm also working on a hat, called Bunny Wishes Hat by Sarah L. Kelly from Grey Owl Knits . Where In The World Is Kris?🌎 Hola from Lisbon, Portugal! Here I am on a another adventure with my husband seeing the sites and checking out yarn shops! Today we visited a sweet yarn shop called, “Retrosaria R. Pomar”. That is quite a mouthful of a name compared to “A Little Knitty”, right!  What an elegant shop this is with antique cabinets and dressers overflowing with Portuguese yarns! Check out this cute sardine!    Lisbon offers lots of seafood and especially sardines that are cooked in every way imaginable. Believe it or it they are quite tasty. The pattern to make this cute fish is, “Sardine” by Barbara Ceiga and is $4.92. There are many other sardine themed patterns on Ravelry so check them out. My favorite season is upon us - FALL!!! I LOVE autumn, with its cool air, colorful leaves, and when the sky is clear and blue there is just no better day. The cooler weather means wearing my handknits! It’s so much fun looking at all the fun, new patterns! Really gets the creative juices flowing. The worst thing for me, however, is realizing if I want to knit gifts for the holidays, I need to get a move on with that, and soon! As I write this, there are only 82 days until Christmas. That’s not a lot of days! Thankfully, I’ve had inspiration from a few customers recently and I can’t wait to share them with you! The first two are super cute toys that you don’t necessarily need to give to kids! First up is Dumpster Raccoon, which had the customer and I laughing hysterically as we checked it out. She said she was going to make it for herself and put it on her desk at work. This little set is so stinkin’ cute! I just finished knitting a hat with the rest of the skein left over after I made my little cat friend above. My hat is just a simple recipe from my head DK Weight Yarn US5-16" needles CO100 Stitches and join in the round (K1, P1) for 5" Change to Stockinette in the round and knit until work measures 13" from brim (or until it is the length you want) Kitchener stitch the top closed OR bind off all stitches and mattress stitch closed. Because the top isn't rounded, it will look like you have little ears just like your kitty!
